Aprilia SR 125 is a scooter available at a starting price of Rs. ₹ 1,22,451 in India. It is available in 2 variants and 3 colours with top variant price starting from Rs. 99,492. The Aprilia SR 125 is powered by 124.45cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 9.78 bhp and a torque of 9.7 Nm. With front disc and rear drum brakes, Aprilia SR 125 comes up with combined braking system of both wheels. This SR 125 scooter weighs 115 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 6 liters. The Aprilia SR125 received two major updates ever since its inception. The first one came during the BS6 transition when the engine was revised to emit cleaner gases. This was followed by another revision a few months later which brought along a bump in its power output.
The sport scooters fuel-injected, 124cc engine now churns out 9.78bhp at 7,700rpm and 9.7Nm at 6,000rpm. Piaggio has also introduced the SR 125 in a new variant that features a semi-digital instrument cluster. Notably, the previously trim with a fully-analogue console is also available at a lower price.
Besides these changes, the SR125 remains the same. It sports a styling similar to the SR150 and gets a twin-pod headlight and a sporty scooter design language. Aprilia is offering the scooter in three colours- blue, yellow and silver. The SR125 is built on a tubular steel frame and uses telescopic forks at the front and a single coil spring at the rear for suspension duties. Meanwhile, braking is done by a 220mm disc at the front and a 140mm drum at the rear. The SR125 rides on large 14-inch wheels borrowed from its bigger sibling.
The Aprilia SR125 Facelift competes against the Hero Maestro Edge 125, Honda Grazia, TVS Ntorq 125, and Suzuki Burgman Street 125 in the country.
