With both front and rear disc brakes, KTM 250 Duke comes up with anti-locking braking system. This 250 Duke bike weighs 169 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 13.5 liters. The 250 Duke is KTMs quarter-litre street bike which sits in between its 200 Duke and 390 Duke in terms of price, displacement, features and components. The motorcycle received an upgrade in 2020 in the form of an LED headlight that is similar to the unit on the 390 Duke. The new LED headlight adds an even premium look to the quarter-litre motorcycle.
The 250 Duke uses a BS6-compliant, 248.76cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 29.6bhp of maximum power at 9,000rpm and 24Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. This engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox that benefits from a slipper clutch. The slipper clutch feature prevents the rear wheel from locking while aggressive downshifting.
The quarter-litre motorcycle continues to boast of sharp and edgy styling. The colour palette includes two options “ Silver Metallic and Dark Galvano.
Like other KTM models, the 250 Duke also incorporates top-notch cycle parts such WP-sourced suspension setup and ByBre brakes. The motorcycle is built around a split-type trellis frame and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels which are shod with MRF Revz C1 tyres. The safety net includes a dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode that deactivates ABS only for the rear wheel. Weighing at 161kg (kerb), the 250 Duke also boasts of an impressive power-to-weight ratio.
Considering its styling and displacement, the KTM 250 Duke competes against the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Yamaha FZ 25 in India.
