The Bajaj Discover 125 has been on sale in the Indian market since 2005 and has been a mainstay for the Pune-based two-wheeler major. It was first introduced with spoke wheels and drum brakes and eventually alloys and electric start with double trip meters became a standard feature. The bike was discontinued for about a year but re-launched last year when Bajaj discovered the sudden growth in vehicles in the 125cc segment. The Bajaj Discovers styling has more or less remained the same since it was launched in 2004 and the current design is more of an evolution than a completely new one. The standard features include a front cowl, analogue gauges with dual trip meters and electric start. It is available in two variants and in four different colour schemes of which black is the base colour for at least two schemes. It is powered by a 125cc mill that produces 11bhp and 10Nm of torque. Power is transmitted via chain drive and a five-speed sequential transmission. The bike has also been fitted with Bajajs DTSi technology. The Discover competes in the 125cc segment with the Honda CB Shine, Hero Super Splendor and the Suzuki Sling Shot.
