BMW’s R1200 GS is the bike adventurer tourers want – it has a reputation for being unbreakable yet manageable. However, with large displacement comes a large price tag, and that’s what the F750 and F850 hope to correct. They aim to bring BMW’s adventure-touring segment to a wider audience thanks to their lower price point. The F750 is the entry model of the two, with 75bhp from its 853cc parallel twin engine. It is the road-biased of the two, which means alloy wheels and road tyres. Among the features are LED headlamps and a 6.5-inch TFT colour display for the instruments. As befits a BMW, there is a full electronics package available including ABS, traction control, cruise control, quickshifter, and four riding modes. The F750 GS competes with the Ducati Multistrada 950 , Kawasaki Versys 1000 and the Triumph Tiger 800 XR series.
