Description

The Ducati Scrambler Caf© Racer, as its name suggests, has a body style inspired by the caf© racer motorcycles from the 70s and 80s. It is only available in a single yet distinctive silver and blue paint scheme similar to the Ducati 125GP Desmo.

It gets a stubby front mudguard, redesigned blue seat, bar-end mirrors on the low-slung handlebars and a headlamp cowl. The bike rides on 17-inch spoke wheels with black rims in place of the alloy wheels on its predecessor.

Furthermore, the number 54 on its side panels in honour of Bruno Spaggiari, a former Grand Prix racer boost its retro appeal. The Scrambler Caf© racer also gets LED lighting for the headlamp and tail lamp flanked by LED turn indicators that give it a modern touch. Its LCD instrument display also gets an update and now shows gear position and fuel gauge and sports Ducatis Multimedia system with optional Bluetooth connectivity.

The 2019 Scrambler Caf© Racer is powered by an 803cc, L-Twin engine that produces 72bhp and 67Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox and now gets a hydraulic clutch. Braking is done by disc brakes at both ends while suspension duties are handled by inverted forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. In terms of features, it gets a cornering ABS and the LCD instrument display now shows gear position and fuel gauge and sports Ducatis Multimedia system with optional Bluetooth connectivity.

In the Indian market, the motorcycle faces competition from the Kawasaki W800 and the Triumph Street Twin.
