The Harley Davidson 1200 Custom is the first big Harley you meet when you go up the price list starting from the bottom. It is a typical Harley “ low, loud and lazy. And it is affordable because Harley gives you just the bike without many accessories so that you can customise it to your taste “ this is why it is called the Custom. The Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom has a comfortable and laid back riding position. The pullback handlebar, front-set footpegs and the low seat have been designed to make it comfortable on long rides.
The 1200 Custom gets a minimalistic design for an American cruiser, though the liberal use of chrome makes it look its part as an expensive motorcycle. Powering the 1200 Custom is a 1202cc V-twin Evolution engine, which has been in production since 1984. Though its air-cooled architecture might indicate otherwise, the engine is quite modern and comes with electronic fuel injection. Over the years, Harley-Davidson has improved the engine keeping durability and power in mind. The engine delivers 68bhp of power and 96Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed transmission. The Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom is offered in six paint schemes “ red, green, amber, blue, silver and black. It competes with the Indian Scout, Triumph Bonneville T120 and the Honda VT 1300CX.
