The Fat Boy is the Harley Davidson as far as many people are concerned, the image of Arnold Schwarzenegger riding one in Terminator 2: Judgement Day imprinted in their consciousness. The Fat Boy is part of the Softail range, meaning it has rear suspension. The iconic bits remain, like the front forks, dinner plate wheels (although with an updated design) and the single seat. The Fat Boy also has one other thing that will make it very popular in the Indian market: a 240mm wide rear tyre and a 160mm wide front “ thats the widest front tyre on a production Harley. The standard Fat Boy is powered by the Miwaukee Eight 107 engine, which displaces nearly 1.8 litres and generates 144Nm at just 3000rpm. There is also a Fat Boy Anniversary Edition which has been launched. Of course, it gets a different paint scheme compared to the standard Fat Boy, but what it also gets is the Milwaukee Eight 114 engine. The 114 displaces 1868cc and generates 161Nm.The Fat Boy competes with the Moto Guzzi Eldorado, Triumph Thunderbird Storm, Indian Chief Classic, and in part with the Suzuki Intruder M1800R.
