The Street Glide Special is the blacked-out variant of the Bagger-styled standard Street Glide. The motorcycle follows the traditional American cruiser design featuring a low-slung stance along with the iconic Batwing fairing that gives it a classic look. The Special comes with additional blacked-out components which include the front forks, fuel tank console, drivetrain, exhaust system and handlebar. In addition to that, it comes with black multi-spoke alloy wheels and stretched saddlebags.
Powering the Bagger is a slightly bigger 1,868cc Milwaukee-Eight 114 mill instead of the Milwaukee-Eight 107 motor on the standard model. The V-Twin churns out 163Nm of peak torque which is 13Nm more than the 107 unit. The unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
On the feature-front, the Special comes with an updated Boom! Box GTS touchscreen infotainment system that is Bluetooth enabled along with voice recognition to control the music, navigation and phone functions.
Harley-Davidson offers the Street Glide Special in five paint schemes. In India, the Bagger competes against the Indian Chieftain Dark Horse and the BMW K1600 GLT.
