Hero Electric NYX is an electric scooter available at a starting price of Rs. ₹ 67,440 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 2 colours. Hero Electric NYX generates 250 W power from its motor. With both front and rear drum brakes, Hero Electric NYX comes up with combined braking system of both wheels. The Nyx is positioned by Hero as an e-scooter that takes care of a lot of utility work. A close look at the scooter also shows its versatility. The company offers the scooter in two variants, the Nyx E5 and the Nyx ER.
The Nyx doesn’t look aesthetically very pleasing but due to its product positioning, not a lot of individual buyers will opt for this scooter. The Nyx is likely to be largely used by small and medium-scale business establishments.
The Nyx rides on telescopic suspension at the front and swingarm-linked dual shock absorbers at the rear. It is equipped with 10-inch alloy wheels equipped with drum brakes at both ends. The dual split seats offer comfort for the rider and the pillion, while the ample space on the floorboard offers room for luggage. It comes with plenty of storage options like under-seat storage, glovebox and a big floorboard. One of the interesting features in this scooter is the ability to fold the rear seat upright in order to make room for additional luggage. The three-side grab rail comes handy while tying up additional luggage.
The Hero Nyx gets its power from a 600W/1200W BLDC hub motor which draws power from a 48V/28Ah battery. With a top speed of 25kmph, Hero Electric claims a riding range of 85kms in one full charge.
As the top-speed of the scooter is at 25kmph, it doesn’t require a driving license or registration to ride. Just like the rest of the Hero electric scooters, the Nyx is also offered with a free one-year roadside assistance plan. The Hero Electric NYX is available in two colour options “ black and silver.
