The Hero Xtreme 200S is powered by 199.6cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 17.8 bhp and a torque of 16.45 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Hero Xtreme 200S comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Xtreme 200S bike weighs 154.5 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12.8 liters. The Xtreme 200S is currently the only fully-faired offering in Heros portfolio which borrows most of components from the Xtreme 200R naked street bike. While the motorcycle looks sporty, it offers a comfortable riding experience which is suitable for daily commutes and short weekend rides.
Built around the same diamond type chassis, the Xtreme 200S comes wrapped around an all-new aerodynamic fairing featuring a sleek looking twin LED headlamp. It is flanked by a pair of position lamps on either side, a tank pad on the fuel tank, a single piece seat, all LED tail lamp, split-type grab rail and a sleek looking exhaust canister. The Xtreme 200S features a fully-digital instrument console that is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, gear position indicator and a service reminder apart from the standard features.
Besides sharing it’s underpinning with the naked Xtreme 200R, the faired Xtreme 200S is powered by the same 200cc air-cooled single-cylinder mill which is now BS6-compliant and gets electronic fuel-injection system. This transition has resulted in a drop in its power and torque output figures which stand at 17.8bhp and 16.4Nm now, as opposed to the previous 18.1bhp and 17.1Nm.
As for the cycle parts, it features telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. On the other hand, braking is taken care of by a 276mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc for the rear assisted by a single-channel ABS unit. The Xtreme 200S tips the scale at 154.5kg while offering a seat height of 795mm and a ground clearance of 165mm.
Hero offers the Xtreme 200S in three colour shades – Sports Red, Mapple Brown and Panther Black.
