The Xtreme is one of the sporty motorcycles offered by the company from this segment. It was formerly known as the Hero Honda CBZ which was launched in 1999. The CBZ went on to create a huge fan base. Hero added the Xtreme name to the CBZ in 2007. After their split with Honda, Hero Motocorp renamed the CBZ Xtreme to just Xtreme.The Xtreme is targeted at the youth looking for a motorcycle combined with power and styling. The bike with a fuel tank of 12.1-litre capacity has a kerb weight of 149kg. It gets a 240 mm disc at the front as standard while an optional 220mm disc at the rear. It is offered with five-years/70,000 kms vehicle warranty and three-years/30,000 kms emission warranty.The motorcycle is powered by an air-cooled 149.2cc single-cylinder engine which produces 14.4bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 12.8Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. This is mated to a five-speed gearbox.The Hero MotoCorp Xtreme competes with the Bajaj Pulsar 150, the Honda Unicorn and the Yamaha FZ.
