The original Scout was launched way back in 1920 as one of Indians most important models. Since then, the iconic motorcycle brand has introduced a range of upgraded models based on the standard Scout. There was the 101 Scout which was followed by the Sport Scout, both representing racier side of the motorcycle. Now in 2014, Indian has the all-new Scout which re-establishes its forerunners legacy.The new Scout introduces Indians first-ever liquid-cooled engine. Producing 100bhp of power and a healthy 97Nm of torque, the new liquid cooled V-twin engine promises to offer an unmatched riding experience thanks to its electronic fuel injection, counter-balancing and a 6-speed gearbox. Indian says the bikes lightweight chassis enhances the manoeuvrability and fun factor for daily riding.The instrumentations include a digital tachometer, odometer, trip metre, engine temperature read-out and low fuel lamp. Other features include solo seat which is made using high-quality leather which is strong and durable, stylish fenders, blacked headlight with chrome trim.The all-new Scout is available in four colours “ red, silver and two shades of black. The motorcycle sits alongside the existing range which consists of the Chief Classic, Chief Vintage, Chieftain and the Roadmaster. It is sold in India through completely-built-up(CBU) route and competes with the Harley-Davidson Fat Bob.
