Kawasakis Ninja 1000 was recently introduced in the Indian market alongwith the Z1000. The Motorcycle ranks second, in hierarchy, among the Ninja range around the world. The motorcycle is an able sports tourer from the Japanese bike major and is the fifth motorcycle in India to wear the Ninja moniker. The Ninja comes equipped with an inline four liquid-cooled 1043cc engine that churns out 142bhp and 111Nm of torque mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox. The Ninja 1000 is a faired version of the Z1000 and looks a lot aggressive in comparison to its sibling. However, the design theme is familiar to the Ninja and similar to that of the 650R. The motorcycle is built on a light aluminium frame, the front gets 41mm inverted front fork with dual 300mm petal discs, while the rear has a horizontal monoshock and a single 250mmpetal type rotor. The Ninja 1000 also receives Kawasakis power mode selector and three-stage traction control (KTRC) with the former being able to work independently of the latter. The Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is currently offered only in a single colour Candy Lime Green. The Motorcycle is priced at Rs 12.50 lakh (Ex-showroom Pune).
