The Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is a litre-class sports tourer motorcycle from Team Green. The latest edition of the motorcycle comes with updated graphics but is otherwise identical to the outgoing model.
The Ninja 1000 uses a 1043cc in-line four-cylinder engine which generates 140bhp at 9,600 rpm and 111Nm of torque at 8,800 rpm. The bike gets a secondary balancer to the crankshaft and a new intake resonator to soften the intake roar.
As for electronics, the Ninja 100 now gets a 6-axis Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) with traction control, ABS and cornering management. The bike also features three power modes for different conditions. Stopping power for the front is derived from dual 300mm petal discs while the rear gets a 250mm disc.
The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is available in two colour schemes — green and black, as standard. Kawasaki has also added a grey option to the colour palate but it is available until stock lasts as only 60 units have been allotted for the Indian market. The bike competes against the Suzuki GSX-S1000F and the Ducati Supersport in India.
