The Ninja Z250 is the new quarter litre naked motorcycle launched by Kawasaki India. Showcased first in 2013 at the Tokyo Motor Show, the Z250 looks like an exact descendant of its bigger siblings, the Z1000 and the Z800.Design wise, the Z250 has majority of its mass up front and features a minimalistic tail design to give it a dynamic character. With an upright riding position, the bike is good for city riding as well as for touring. Kawasaki has given the bike a redesigned instrument cluster that sports an analogue tachometer with a multi-function LCD screen that displays a wide range of data like trip meters, fuel indicator and much more. The Z250 is powered by a 249cc, parallel-twin, fuel injected engine which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This liquid cooled engine develops 32bhp of power at 11,000 rpm. The motorcycle is available with only colour option for now and will be sold through pro-biking dealerships via the completely-knocked-down (CKD) route. The motorcycle competes directly with the Suzuki Inazuma in the Indian market.
