Hero Cycles in partnership with Yamaha has launched the Lectro EHX20 in India. The e-cycle is priced at Rs 1.3 lakh. The company claims that it is Indias first Center Motor E-Cycle. The EHX20 is the first product to be offered under the three-way strategic partnership tie-up between Hero Cycles Ltd, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and Mitsui & Co., Ltd.
The EHX20 is targeted at the small yet growing community of adventure lovers and mountain cyclists. The Lectro EHX20 comes with a Center Motor positioned directly between the pedals. The setup offers a combination of manual pedalling with battery assist. According to Hero, the e-cycle can offer a range of 60-70 km on a full charge which takes about 3.5 hours.
