2022 Ducati Panigale V4 Range Launched, Priced From Rs. 26.49 Lakhs
2022 Ducati Panigale V4 price goes up to Rs. 40.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the top-end SP2 variant
Ducati India has launched the 2022 Panigale V4 range for a price tag starting from Rs. 26.49 lakhs (ex-showroom). There are 3 variants on offer – standard, S, and SP2. The S is priced at Rs. 31.99 lakhs and SP2 is priced at Rs. 40.99 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom).
Bookings for all the 3 variants are now open across all Ducati dealerships in Delhi – NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata, and Chennai. Deliveries are set to begin immediately.
For 2022, the Panigale V4 has undergone some significant changes. It gets new graphics designed by the Ducati Centro Stile that includes Black logos on the full Red fairings, double fabric saddle, and Red tag on the Black rims (on the S variant).
The bike features a new fairing to enable better cooling without compromising on the aerodynamics.
The MotoGP-derived 1103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine gets a new silencer and an oil pump leading to an increase in power by 1.5 HP to 215.5 HP at 13,000 RPM and 123.6 Nm at 9500 RPM. Over 100 Nm torque is available starting from 6,000 RPM onwards.
The gear ratios have been made taller leading to an increase in top speed by 5 km/hr. A new Power Mode logic provides 4 configurations – Full, High, Medium, Low. Full allows the engine to express its maximum potential without electronic filters.
An optional Akrapovic exhaust hikes the output to 228 HP and 131 Nm with a weight reduction of 5 kg. The V4 S is specifically equipped with 3-spoke forged Aluminum alloy wheels with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres – 120/70 ZR17 front and 200/60 ZR17 rear.
As for the standard braking system, the bike mounts Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers at the front with 4 30 mm pistons each working on 330 mm diameter discs. At the rear, a 245 mm disc with 2-piston caliper has been used.
Other standard equipment include 43 mm diameter fully-adjustable Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF), Sachs steering damper, fully-adjustable Sachs monoshock, and cast aluminum rims with a 5-spoke design.
The electronic package consists of ABS Cornering EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 3, Ducati Slide Control (DSC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Power Launch (DPL), Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2, Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO, and Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES) EVO (V4 S).
For 2022, the SP2 variant gets the Winter Test livery in which the Matte Black of the fairings is combined with the Matte Carbon finish of the wings contrasting with Bright Red accents and the exposed Brushed Aluminium tank.
The heart of the SP2 is the same 1103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine with the same performance figures. The deducated equipment over the S include Billet Aluminium steering stem with bike name and number, and rider seat with dedicated material and V4 SP2 logo.
Wings in Carbon Fibre with Italian flag, STM-EVO SBK 9-disc dry clutch, 520 chain with dedicated front and rear sprockets, and adjustable rider foot-pegs in Billet Aluminium by Rizoma with heel guards in Carbon Fibre are part of the package.
Further the bike gets Brembo MCS master cylinder with remote adjuster, machined brake and clutch levers, 9-spoke forged Magnesium wheels, front mudguard in Carbon Fibre, and single seat.
Additional equipment include open clutch cover in Carbon Fibre, removing license plate holder kit, mirror hole covers in Billet Aluminiumm, and Ducati Data Analyzer+ (DDA+) kit including GPS module with Ducati Lap Timer GPS (DLT GPS) functionalities.
