What’s new with the MT-09

The MT-09 for 2024 showcases a significant change in its styling. Despite the recent visual refresh in 2021, the model is receiving another update. The previous cyclops front end design was not well-received, but the 2023 version features a more familiar and aesthetically pleasing headlight design.

The centrally mounted LED projector headlight, flanked by two LED positioning lamps, is now housed in a new binnacle that complements the bike’s fuel tank. In addition to the visual updates on the fuel tank, there have been acoustic changes for 2024.

The tank now has sharper edges, promoting a more engaged riding position. Acoustic ducts mounted on top of the tank direct the induction howl towards the rider, enhancing the overall riding experience. The airbox features revised intake trumpets to emphasize high-frequency sounds while maintaining a smooth throttle response.

Further changes for 2024 include a new Brembo radially-mounted master cylinder for the front brake, a revised rider triangle, updated rear brake and gear levers, split rider and passenger seats, revised fork settings, and a new rear shock linkage for a more dynamic cornering experience.
