2025 BMW C 400 X Unveiled with GS-Inspired Design and Advanced Features
The 2025 BMW C 400 X has been officially unveiled, expanding BMW Motorrad’s Urban Mobility lineup. This model is derived from the BMW C 400 GT, which is currently available in India. Although it is positioned as a premium scooter, its sales figures have exceeded BMW Motorrad India’s expectations. The C 400 X introduces a novel perspective to the segment.

In terms of design, the C 400 X draws inspiration from the BMW GS motorcycle series. This is reflected in features such as the asymmetric headlight, the small beak beneath it, and the distinct creases and contours on both the front and side panels. The graphics also evoke the GS aesthetic, making the scooter visually distinct from the C 400 GT.

The scooter is equipped with a 350cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 34bhp at 7,500rpm and 35Nm of torque at 5,750rpm. It is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and features a new exhaust system designed to meet global emission standards.
Regarding its chassis, the scooter utilizes a steel tube frame supported by a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers with adjustable preload. It is fitted with a 15-inch front wheel and a 14-inch rear wheel. For braking, the C 400 X employs twin 265mm disc brakes at the front and a single 265mm disc at the rear. The overall weight of the scooter is 206kg.

In terms of features, the C 400 X comes equipped with all-LED lighting and a new 6.5-inch TFT display that includes Bluetooth connectivity. BMW Motorrad may consider launching the C 400 X in India to complement the C 400 GT. If introduced, the expected price range is between Rs 11.50 lakh and Rs 11.75 lakh, ex-showroom.
