Ampere Electric has been actively conducting tests on its recently developed electric scooter, the Ampere NXG, for the past several months. This scooter, built on a completely new platform, is considered to be the company’s most high-end electric scooter to date. After an extensive testing period, the company is now preparing to officially launch the scooter on 30 April.

Based on the trademark filed by Ampere Electric a few months ago, it is highly likely that the Ampere NXG will be named the Nexus. Additionally, some interesting details about the scooter were revealed through the sighting of a few test mules in the past.

From its appearance, it seems that the new Ampere scooter is specifically designed to cater to buyers seeking a family-oriented vehicle. This is evident in the large yet modestly styled body panels, which lack sharp or sporty creases. The clean and simple design is expected to appeal to those in search of a family-friendly scooter.

The spacious dimensions of the scooter translate into a long seat and ample legroom on the footboard, providing enough space to comfortably accommodate two adults.

In terms of features, the scooter is anticipated to include all-LED lights, a TFT display with potential Bluetooth connectivity and navigation capabilities.

As for the chassis, it is likely to feature an underbone frame, with a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The scooter will ride on 12-inch alloy wheels, and notably, Ampere has incorporated a front disc brake for the first time.

This new scooter holds significant importance for Ampere Electric as it aims to establish a strong presence in the electric scooter market. However, it faces tough competition from recently launched models such as the Ather Rizta and the Ola S1X, which recently underwent a substantial price reduction.
