The forthcoming Rizta by Ather marks the brand’s debut into the family scooter segment, offering an affordable option for consumers. Ather, previously known for targeting enthusiasts and tech-savvy individuals, is now broadening its range to attract a wider audience and increase sales.

India’s popular family electric scooter, TVS iQube, currently holds the top spot in sales and will face direct competition from the upcoming Rizta by Ather. Additionally, the Ola S1 X+ is another contender in the market that Rizta aims to rival. Ather Energy’s team showcases a great sense of humor and creativity through their innovative marketing strategies.

Co-founder of Ather Energy, Swapnil Jain, recently shared a video on social media teasing the launch of the Rizta scooter. One of their unique strategies involves dropping the battery pack from a height of 40 feet, showcasing the durability of their product in an entertaining manner.

What does this test signify?

Ather’s batteries are specifically designed to endure various impacts that users may encounter while on the road. These impacts can range from stones and illogical speed bumps to direct collisions with other objects. To ensure durability, Ather constructs their battery casings using high-pressure die-cast aluminium technology.

The key takeaway from the battery drop test is that if Ather’s battery can survive a 40 feet drop, it can withstand most real-world impacts. It is important to note that when dropped, the impact force is evenly distributed across the battery, unlike concentrated impacts from sharp objects or nail penetrations.

The Ather Rizta scooter will be unveiled at Ather’s Community Day on April 6th, 2024. Emphasizing practicality, the Rizta will feature a spacious and comfortable seat. Additionally, Ather is expected to launch the AtherStack 6 OTA update and a smart accessory during the Community Day event.
