The grand reveal of the scooter, named Rizta, is scheduled to take place at Ather’s Community Day on April 6, 2024, which is tomorrow. Prior to its official launch, Rizta has been captured on camera during a TV commercial shoot, showcasing the bike in all its glory without any camouflage.

After catering to young and enthusiastic scooter buyers with the 450 range, Ather Energy has now expanded its vision to target a more mature audience. This new vision is being realized with the introduction of Rizta, Ather’s first scooter designed for families. It is possible that there will be more variations of Rizta in the future, similar to the 450S, 450X, and 450 Apex models.
Unlike Ather’s previous strategies that focused on building a community of thrill seekers and tech enthusiasts, Rizta is aimed at a different demographic. It is set to be launched on Ather’s Community Day, which is scheduled for April 6th, 2024 in Bengaluru.

Before the official launch, the Ather Rizta electric scooter has been spotted without any camouflage for the first time. Automotive enthusiast Nihar Amrute has shared images of the upcoming Rizta in our Rushlane Spylane Facebook Group. From the images, it appears that Rizta was being used for a TV commercial shoot.
The design of Rizta is clean and uncluttered, with a minimalistic approach. However, it is noticeably bulkier compared to the athletic scooters in the 450 range. This bulkiness is due to a larger frame, which makes Rizta more practical and accommodating. The scooter also features large ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) and a spacious dashboard.
One prominent feature of Rizta is its large seat, which Ather is promoting extensively. In fact, they have even set up a giant billboard in Mumbai to showcase it. The design of Rizta is somewhat similar to the iQube, but it has its own unique characteristics. It boasts sleek rear tail lights, a large grab handle for the pillion rider, and a pillion backrest. However, it is uncertain whether the backrest will be a standard fitment.

Powertrain specifications have not been disclosed yet and are anticipated to mirror those of the 450S model, due to its projected budget-friendly price point.
