Bajaj Pulsar 400 (P220-successor) Looks Picture Perfect
While the production-ready Bajaj Pulsar 400 keeps evading us vehemently, we have some relief from the digital realm.
A digital automobile artist has developed a concept version of the long-awaited Bajaj Pulsar 400 (P220-successor). The reports of the Pulsar 400 making it to production have been floating around for what seems like an eternity now. People have been waiting enthusiastically for the performance-oriented Pulsar 400 but so far, they have received nothing but disappointment. But fret now, at least we have some talented digital designers who have illustrated a sporty version of the highly anticipated motorcycle.
Bajaj Pulsar 400 Concept – P220-successor
This concept has been imagined by Abin Designs. First of all, the all-black paint with grey graphics on the fuel tank leaves an adventurous first impression. In addition to that, the front fascia hints at a more aggressive version of the Pulsar 220 with a projector headlamp and black background, sleek wind visor, sporty handlebar with wide ORVMs, black alloy whee with large ventilated brake disc and black fairing that extends to the fuel tank and side body. The ‘Pulsar’ moniker is engraved on the side of the wind protector.
The fuel tank is beautifully sculpted with large body panels, black engine protecting gear, compact exhaust pipe with chrome finish at the end, wide black alloy wheel at the rear with a relatively smaller ventilated brake disc. This concept features a split-seat setup for that adventurous appeal and a slim tail section. All in all, this version of the Pulsar 400 is something that we would definitely appreciate if it makes it into production in this state.

Taking reference from the Dominar 400, one could conclude that the Pulsar 400 would be great with the 373-cc fuel-injected engine that would produce 43 PS and 35 Nm of peak power and torque. To complement this engine would be a 6-speed transmission. A dual-channel ABS must be standard with this bike. The bike must cost upwards of Rs 1.70 lakh, ex-showroom. KTM RC 390, Ninja 300, Benelli TNT300, Yamaha R3 and TVS Apache RR310 are some of the key players in the segment.
