Bajaj Pulsar N160 Launched, Priced From Rs. 1.23 Lakhs
Bajaj Pulsar N160 price goes up to Rs. 1,27,853/- (ex-showroom, New Delhi) for the dual-channel ABS variant
Bajaj Auto has silently launched the much-awaited Pulsar N160 for a price tag starting from Rs. 1,22,854/- (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The streetfighter gets a new signature Brooklyn Black shade which Bajaj has been marketing using the Eclipse for quite some time now.
Powered by a new 164.8 cc twin-spark oil-cooled single-cylinder DTSi engine that exerts 15.7 HP and 14.65 Nm, Bajaj claims that the new N160 has intoxicating acceleration with best-in-class roll-ons and segment-beating tractive effort.
According to the company, 85 percent of the bike’s maximum torque is available for a large part of the power band. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The seat height is rather low 795 mm which should suit customers of all types. The front gets 37 mm telescopic forks while the rear gets a brand new Nitrox monoshock. Braking duties are carried out by 300 mm front disc and 230 mm rear unit.
Customers can choose either single or dual channel ABS variant. The single-channel ABS variant comes in 3 colours – Caribbean Blue, Racing Red, and Techno Blue. But, the top-end dual channel ABS variant comes only in the signature Brooklyn Black shade.
Coming to the looks, it’s completely identical to its bigger brother, the N250, except for the new underbelly exhaust and its brushed silver tip. The bike sports 100/80-17 tubeless front tyre and 130/70-17 tubeless rear unit. The ground clearance is 165 mm.
The semi-digital instrument cluster features gear indicator, clock, fuel economy, and distance to empty. The bike also sports a USB charger now. It retains the bi-functional LED projector headlamp with DRLs and LED Tail lamp with glitter pattern from the N250.
The latest Bajaj Pulsar N160 competes with the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 series, Hero Xtreme 160R, Yamaha FZ series, Suzuki Gixxer 155, Honda Unicorn 160, and the likes.
