Bajaj-Triumph 400 Motorcycle: What to Expect

Bajaj is all set to launch the first bike in partnership with Triumph. The details of the Bajaj-Triumph Scram 400 have surfaced online.

The Bajaj-Triumph Scram 400 is expected to be launched in the coming months. It will be the first bike to come out of the Bajaj Auto and Triumph Motorcycle partnership.

The upcoming bike is expected to reach dealerships later this year along with a 400 cc roadster. Over the last few months, Bajaj and Triumph have been testing a scrambler and a roadster in India and the United Kingdom.

Now, the near-production avatar of the upcoming scrambler has been spotted.

Bajaj Triumph Scram 400 Takes Inspiration from Bigger Triumphs

As you can see in the images above, the Bajaj-Triumph Scram 400 features a slim stature and a minimalistic look. It sports a tubular chassis with a bolt-on subframe.

As the Bajaj-Triumph Scram 400 is positioned as a touring and off-roading bike, the rider has a relaxed posture. The seat height could be above 795 mm. The upcoming bike has a high ground clearance.

It comes with a slipper and assist clutch as standard. The company has added a slim fuel tank of 13L capacity.

The upcoming bike borrows styling details from Triumph’s current range. It comes with accessories like a top box, saddle, and tank bags.The dual-purpose tires are paired with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear multi-spoke alloy wheels.

The Bajaj-Triumph Scram 400 is suspended on 41-43 mm upside-down front forks and a mono-shock rear suspension with pre-load adjustability.

It is said to come with 320 mm front disc and 270-280 mm rear disc brakes with a dual channel ABS system.

A 250cc Version on the Anvil!

Additional features will include s traction control, switchable ABS systems, Bluetooth connectivity, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and an offset fuel filler cap.

You can also see a transparent windscreen, a tall-set front beak, a circular LED headlamp with alloy casing, split grab rails, split seats with wide padding for the rider, and a twin port side-mounted exhaust system.

The LED turn indicators and an LED tail lamp come with an inverter U-shaped signature.

The Bajaj-Triumph Scram 400 is expected to be powered by an all-new 350-400 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled Fi engine. It will be paired with a six-speed transmission.

The upcoming bike is said to be priced at Rs 2.6-2.7 lakh (ex-showroom).Bajaj is going all in to promote the upcoming bikes. With the arrival of a couple of entry-level middleweight motorcycles, it plans to take over the sales and marketing proceedings.

The auto giant aims to expand Triumph’s 15 sales outlets to 120 dealerships in the next two years. A smaller 250 cc version is also expected to be launched in the near future.
