It was shared by Being Royal, a vintage bike enthusiast, on Instagram. The ₹ 18,700 invoice of the bullet is 36 years old and was issued in Bokaro, Jharkhand by a dealer named Sandeep Auto Company.

The grace of this bike is at an all-time high despite being in production for decades. For comparison, the on-road price of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is ₹ 2.54 Lakh (ex-showroom) in Delhi for the top varient. That is over 15 times the price in 1986.

The Chennai based manufacturer Royal Enfield brand, including its original English heritage, is the oldest global motorcycle brand in continue production. The company operates manufacturing plants in Chennai in India.
The Enfield Cycle Company of Redditch, Worcestershire, England, which created and produced the Royal Enfield Bullet, the longest-lasting motorbike design in history, produced the first Royal Enfield motorcycle in 1901.
Indian-born Madras Motors, which is now a part of Indian carmaker Eicher Motors Limited, obtained the licence from the original English Royal Enfield.
The model billed in the picture is its standard 350 cc bike. This bike is an extremely important bike in the company’s lineup since its beginning. After the independence of India from the British Empire, the new administration searched for a motorbike that would be suitable for its army to use in border patrol.
The Royal Enfield Bullet was determined to be the best motorcycle for the task in 1952. The government purchased 800 of the 350 cc models in 1954.
The Redditch business joined together with Madras Motors in India to create “Enfield India” in 1955 so that Madras could produce the 350 cc Royal Enfield Bullet motorbike under license.
