Bored of Waiting, Honda Unicorn Rider Dances at Traffic Lights
While most road users jump traffic signals to avoid waiting at the red lights, a Honda Unicorn rider broke into a dance to prevent impatience from getting the better of him
It’s not uncommon to see road users jumping red lights to avoid waiting for a couple of minutes at a junction. The need to break law generally arises out of impatience than any sort of urgency. However, today, we’ve got a video of a social media user who decided to put the waiting time at a signal to good use. He created a short video of his action and uploaded the video on his Instagram account to create awareness.

The video starts with a helmet-wearing guy showing dance moves at a traffic signal. The entire video is about 20 seconds in length, and shows the guy doing a cool hip-hop dance at a traffic signal. A popular sound track, which is added in the post processing, goes well with the dance moves. A caption at the top of the video reads: ‘Don’t Jump Red Signal Enjoy It.’ Truly, the video gives a pretty good message to all road-users, especially those who lose patience waiting at a traffic signal. Of course, one shouldn’t start dancing at a traffic signal, but this vlogger surely succeeds in sending a cool message.
Unsurprisingly, others waiting at the traffic signal look amazed to see a helmet-clad person showing off some cool dance moves on the road. You can see people inside a Hyundai Grand i10 Nios watching the dancer keenly. Within seconds, the vlogger finishes his little gig and goes back to the Honda Unicorn he was travelling on. Meanwhile, the person who shot the video waves goodbye to a set of excited kids in a white Renault Kwid stationed alongside.

The vlogger in question here is one Subodh Londhe, who’s known as ‘The Helmet Guy’ aka ‘Traffic Light Dancer’ aka ‘Red Signal Dancer.’ He regularly curates similar content to spread awareness on traffic laws by dancing at red lights. Based out of Kalyan area, Landhe has shared many videos of him breaking into impromptu gigs at busy traffic signals. What’s interesting is that Londhe has not taken any dance training. He once told media, “For the first time in 2021, a traffic light was installed in our area. However, no one used to follow the rules. So, I could dance and keep people entertained while they wait at a red light, in a way to motivate them to follow the traffic rules. It soon became a fun way to raise awareness.”
It must be mentioned here that even though these gigs look impromptu, a lot of planning goes into their execution. “I pre-plan everything because traffic signal timing and dance routines must match. I have to ensure that I finish my dance and complete the video in the specific period,” Londhe adds.
