Here Are The Moto Morini Motorcycles Confirmed For India
Moto Morini India lineup will include 4 motorcycles – 2 adventure tourers, a retro street, and a scrambler
Earlier, we told you about the Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Moto Morini, entering India and, now, the company has officially revealed the lineup for our market. The models include 2 adventure tourers, a retro street, and a scrambler.
Moto Morini X-Cape 650X, X-Cape 650, Seiemmezzo 6 ½ Scrambler, and Seiemmezzo 6 ½ Retro Street are the 4 motorcycles and they are powered by a 650 cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine.
Founded in 1937 by Alfonso Morini, Moto Morini is 1 of the iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturers. The brand has a substantial racing pedigree and is renowned for making lightweight, fast race bikes through the 1950s and 60s.
The X-Cape twins get a radical design language with sharp lines and creases. Their 8-valve 649 cc mill puts out 60 HP at 8250 RPM and 54 NM at 7000 RPM. The large 50 mm front adjustable fork from Marzocchi are complimented by KYB rear shock absorbers.
These along with 19-inch Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, Brembo brakes, and Bosch dual-channel ABS are highlights of the bike. A huge 18-litre fuel tank takes care of the range anxiety during long hauls.
But the seat height of 810 / 835 mm would be a big deterrent for short riders. The bike sports a large 7-inch TFT screen, which Motor Morini claims, is the biggest in its segment. The windscreen is adjustable and requires only 1 hand.
The eagle eye double-lens full-LED headlights and backlit switch gear complete the range of standard equipment on offer.
Coming to the Seiemmezzo 6 ½ twins, Moto Morini says they are among the most easy going bikes out there suitable for daily commutes and yet versatile and fun. Propelled by the same 649 cc engine, power is slightly down to 55HP at 8250 RPM and torque remains the same 54 Nm at 7000 RPM.
The engine sits on 20Cr-Mo steel frame which looks like fish scales under a microscope. It provides rigidity and stability, says Moto Morini. The chassis is complimented by KYB suspension, Brembo brakes, Pirelli tyres, and Bosch dual-channel ABS.
The bikes get LED projector headlights with DRL and an intuitive instrument cluster with 5-inch TFT screen.
The new Italian motorcycles will be brought to India by Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) which also handles the businesses of Benelli and Keeway in the country. Moto Morini is owned by a Chinese conglomerate named Zhongneng Vehicle Group.
