Hero MotoCorp October 2025 Sales Report

Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has released its October 2025 sales report. The data shows a mix of festive-driven retail growth and moderated wholesale figures.

Total Sales Overview

In October 2025, Hero MotoCorp sold 6,35,808 units. This marks a 6.37% decline year-on-year compared to 6,79,091 units in October 2024.

Domestic wholesale sales dropped by 8%, reaching 6,04,829 units. However, export sales showed a strong recovery, rising 43% to nearly 31,000 units.

Meanwhile, retail sales (VAHAN registrations) stood at a healthy 9,94,690 units. This growth was boosted by festive demand and improved consumer sentiment.

Overall, the results show strong retail momentum despite controlled dealer dispatches and inventory adjustments.

Motorcycle Segment Performance

The motorcycle segment remains the core strength for Hero MotoCorp. The company sold 5,70,753 motorcycles, showing a 10.22% decline year-on-year.

Popular models like the Hero Splendor, Glamour, and Xpulse series continued to attract customers. However, dealers were cautious with orders due to inventory management and uncertain demand in rural markets.

In summary, motorcycles still form the largest portion of Hero’s portfolio, even as the company adjusts to changing market dynamics.

Scooter Segment Performance

Hero’s scooter business performed exceptionally well this month. The company sold 65,055 scooters, showing over 50% growth from October 2024’s 43,304 units.

Furthermore, this surge was driven by the Hero Destini, Pleasure Plus, and Xoom. These scooters are increasingly popular in urban areas because of their ease of use and fuel efficiency.

As a result, Hero continues to gain market share in the fast-growing scooter segment.

Export and Global Market Growth

Hero MotoCorp’s exports increased 42.8%, reaching 30,979 units in October 2025. Moreover, the company is expanding rapidly across European markets, including Italy, Spain, the UK, and France.

Its Euro5+ compliant models, such as the Hero Hunk 440 and Xpulse 200, are performing strongly. Consequently, Hero is building a solid reputation for reliability and innovation overseas.

In H1 FY26, global deliveries grew by 54%, showing strong international acceptance and rising export demand.

Festive Season & Market Dynamics

The festive season gave a big boost to retail performance. Registrations reached nearly 10 lakh units, which reflects high consumer enthusiasm.

Additionally, the GST reduction from 28% to 18% for two-wheelers under 350cc made a huge impact. Some models became cheaper by up to ₹15,743. This stimulated buying across multiple segments.

However, wholesale numbers dipped slightly because dealers maintained optimal inventory levels after strong retail sales. Overall, the festive season clearly supported Hero’s growth momentum.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Segment Growth

Hero’s electric vehicle brand, VIDA, achieved strong progress in October. It recorded around 16,000 registrations, showing 117% year-on-year growth and 24% month-on-month improvement.

Moreover, rising awareness and better charging infrastructure have improved consumer adoption. Hero’s focus on battery-swapping technology, localized manufacturing, and new EV models continues to strengthen its market position.

Market Position & Future Outlook

Hero MotoCorp continues to lead the Indian two-wheeler market. It remains dominant in commuter motorcycles while expanding in scooters and EVs.

In addition, the company’s strategy focuses on:

  • Product innovation and technology upgrades
  • International market expansion
  • Sustainable electric mobility
  • Enhanced customer experience and branding

Looking ahead, management stays optimistic about the coming quarters. Despite short-term challenges, Hero expects steady growth in FY26. The outlook is backed by strong brand value, a diversified portfolio, and global expansion.
