Hero Vida V1 price revealed, available in two variants
Hero Vida V1 launched with a starting price of Rs. 1.45 lakhs (ex-showroom). It will be offered in two variants – Vida V1 Plus and Vida V1 Pro.
Bookings to commence on 10th October while deliveries will start in second week of December. Booking amount is Rs. 2499/-. It can be booked online on vidaworld.com and at VIDA Experience Centers in Delhi, Jaipur and Bengaluru.
The electric scooter will be launched in a phased manner and will be available for retail sales in Delhi, Bengaluru and Jaipur to begin with, and subsequently in other cities.
The scooter is designed and developed at Hero’s Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur and the Hero Tech Centre Germany (TCG) near Munich. It is being manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s Garden Factory in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.
The Vida V1 Plus will be available in 3 colours – Matte White, Matte Sports Red and Gloss Black. The V1 Pro will be offered in 4 colours including the aforementioned three and Matte Abrax Orange.
The scooter comes with a removable battery and it can be integrated at home with charging up to 11kW. The Indian bike maker aims to develop a charging network of their own across the country that will be open for customers having two-wheeler EVs of different brands as well.
The Li-ion batteries have a net energy content of 3.94 kWh in Vida V1 Pro and the Vida V1 Plus has a net energy content of 3.44 kWh. The scooter comes with standard 5-year warranty for 50,000 kms. The batteries are covered by a warranty valid for 3 years or up to 30,000 km.
Both the variants come with 4 riding modes – Sport, Ride, Eco & Custom. The V1 Pro offers a range of 165 km and V1 PLUS offers a range of 143 km on single charge.
The scooter gets a 7-inch TFT touchscreen which comes with Over The Air tech. There is a 2-way throttle that provides reverse and regenerative assist.
There is a limp home feature that offers the rider an ability to drive at 10 km/hr for about 8 km to a location of choice, in case the SOC drops below a pre-defined limit.
It has a top speed of 80 km/hr, acceleration of 0-40 km/hr in 3.2 seconds with a maximum output of 6kW. The V1 Plus does 0-40 km/hr in 3.4 seconds.
With fast charging it can charge at the rate of 1.2 km/min. With home charging it does 0-80 percent charge in 5 hrs 15 min.
Some of the connected app features include anti-theft alarm, track my bike, geofence, remote immobilisation, vehicle diagnostics, SOS Alert and button. Other features – follow-me-home lights, keyless entry, electric seat and handle lock, cruise control, navigation, etc.
