Hero has launched the extremely off-road focused Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition for a price tag Rs. 1,52,100/- (ex-showroom). It’s costlier than the Xpulse 200 4V by Rs. 16,122/- and Xpulse 200 by Rs. 25,322/-.
It’s a limited edition model. Bookings are set to commence on the company’s online sales platform – eSHOP from 22nd July, 12 pm, onwards and will go on till 29th July, 12pm.
Based on the Xpulse 200 4V, the all-new Rally Edition comes with enhanced suspension set-up and increased ground clearance. Inspired by Hero MotoSports rally bike, the model sports exclusive rally code graphics and the eponymous ‘CS Santhosh’ autograph.
The motorcycle features taller and fully-adjustable front suspension with 250 mm travel and a fully-adjustable 10-step rear suspension with 220 mm travel. This allows the rider to fine tune the suspension to the terrain and personal riding style.
The Rally Edition offers enhanced riding dynamics with a seat height of 885 mm, handlebar risers of 40 mm, increased ground clearance of 270 mm, wheelbase of 1426 mm, and increased trail of 116 mm. The kerb weight is 160 kg.
Further, the extended gear lever and the longer side stand takes care of the finer details required. The motorcycle comes with robust 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels fitted with dual purpose tyres tuned for both on and off-road use.
To ensure a trouble-free ride through the rocky and treacherous terrains, the motorcycle is equipped with an aluminium skid plate that protects the engine, toothed brake pedal for maximum grip and control, and an upswept exhaust that enables deep water crossing.
The Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition carries forward the LED headlight, LED tail light, full digital LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and call alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, gear indicator, eco mode, 2 trip meters, and single channel ABS as standard offerings.
Power comes from the 200cc 4-valve-oil-cooled engine that churns out 18.9 HP and 17.35 Nm. It’s mated to a 5-speed gearbox. For better heat management in heavy traffic, the cooling system comes with a 7-fin oil cooler.
