A Stylish Entry into the 250cc Segment
The Xtreme 250R is Hero’s bold entry into the competitive quarter-litre street bike segment, priced at an introductory ₹1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Originally showcased as the Xtunt 2.5R concept, this production model carries forward the aggressive and contemporary styling Hero has been refining in recent years.
The design highlights include a low-slung headlamp, sculpted fuel tank with sharp extensions, and an upswept tail section. Together, these elements give the bike a clean, athletic appearance that continues Hero’s streak of producing attractive motorcycles like the Xtreme 160R and Xtreme 125R.
Performance and Features
Powering the Xtreme 250R is a 250cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve engine, which delivers an impressive 30bhp and 25Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The bike boasts a brisk 0-60kmph acceleration time of just 3.25 seconds, showcasing its performance credentials.
It features high-quality hardware, including 43mm upside-down front forks, a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
