The Kawasaki KLX 230 has been officially launched in India. This dual-sport motorcycle has been undergoing testing in the country, incorporating several localized components, for an extended period. With its official introduction, Kawasaki has commenced bookings at a fee of ₹5,000. The pricing details are expected to be disclosed in December, likely during the India Bike Week 2024.

The design of the Kawasaki KLX 230 is functional and purposeful. It features minimal body panels, which not only contribute to its aesthetic but also reduce potential damage in the event of a fall during off-road riding. Key design elements include a compact headlight encased in a cowl, a high-mounted mudguard, a small fuel tank, and a short tail section. The seat height is notably tall at 880mm.

Under the hood, the motorcycle is equipped with a 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 18.1bhp at 8,000rpm and 18.3Nm of torque at 6,400rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed transmission. Kawasaki asserts that the engine delivers robust low and mid-range performance, while the six-speed gearbox facilitates comfortable highway cruising.
