Kawasaki ZX-4R Launched – The only sub 500cc 4-cylinder bike in India
Kawasaki takes 400cc engine performance to a new level, achieving an unprecedented 57 kW (77 PS)* of power. The howl of the engine as it revs beyond 15,000 min-1 adds to rider exhilaration.
A quick-revving nature and direct throttle response are complemented by a flexible character that offers strong low- to mid-range torque for city riding, as well as screaming high- rpm power ideal for sport or track riding.
Speaking of power, Kawasaki ZX-4R packs 4-cylinder engine with 74.4 bhp of power at 14,500 RPM and 39 Nm of torque at 13,000 RPM. This is a lot of engine speed for this displacement category, hence falling in screamer category.
General thumb rule is that the smaller the pistons are, higher they revv.
There is a 6-speed gearbox along with a slip and assist clutch. Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) gets three modes of selectable traction. Kawasaki calls Ninja ZX-4R as “India’s first 399cc In-line 4 beast”.
The handsome fairing allows rider to tuck behind it with relative ease, offering optimum wind protection.
