KTM 1390 Super Duke GT in the Works
KTM’s upcoming 1390 range is set to expand in the near future, as they introduce a touring version of their latest hyper-naked lineup. In 2023, KTM upgraded their LC8 engine to a 1,350cc V-twin, which now powers the new range of 1390 Super Dukes. However, when the 2024 models were launched, the GT variant was missing, as it continued with the 1290 generation.
Nevertheless, recent spy shots published by Motorrad suggest that a 1390 Super Duke GT may be on its way. These photos reveal a KTM motorcycle with the distinctive front styling seen in their 2024 models, featuring the new 1,350cc V-twin engine. However, there are several additions to the specifications that differentiate it as a touring bike rather than a hyper-naked. Despite this, the GT version is still expected to deliver the full 190bhp from the LC8 engine.

Notable additions include an opaque fly screen, enhanced bodywork at the front for improved wind protection, and a slightly raised overall height compared to the existing 1390 Super Dukes.
The upgrade to the 1390 range also means that the Super Duke GT will finally feature an aluminum rear subframe, unlike the current 1290 GT which still uses a steel tubular design.
Additionally, the brakes have been updated, with the 1390 Super Duke GT likely to adopt the same radial Brembo setup as the 1390 Super Duke R, along with the new single-sided swingarm.
Motorrad predicts that the KTM 1390 Super Duke GT will be officially launched for the 2025 model year, with a possible unveiling by the end of 2024. As for pricing, details are yet to be announced.
