This model will utilize a 947cc parallel-twin LC8c engine, similar to that of the 990 Duke, but it is projected to generate a maximum output of 128bhp and peak torque of 103Nm. In contrast, the standard version produces 123bhp at 9,500rpm, while the R variant is expected to reach its peak power at approximately 10,500rpm.
Additionally, the KTM 990 Duke R is likely to be lighter than its standard counterpart, which weighs in at 179kg. The R variant may achieve a kerb weight of around 175kg. It is also expected to feature high-end components, including lighter wheels, fully adjustable WP suspension, and Brembo Stylema brakes.
