Moto Morini To Make India Debut Soon, 4 Motorcycles To Be Launched
Moto Morini bikes will share their 650 cc powerplant with the CF Moto’s 650s that are already on sale in India
In an interesting revelation, Italian manufacturer, Moto Morini, will make a grand entry into India soon. As many as 4 models are going to be launched in the country including an adventure bike and a scrambler.
The new Italian motorcycles will be brought to India by Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) which also handles the businesses of Benelli and Keeway in the country.
Like Benelli and Keeway, Moto Morini is owned by a Chinese conglomerate named Zhongneng Vehicle Group. Similarly, like many other Italian brands, Moto Morini has a great history of making awesome looking motorcycles that also performed well on the track.
Currently, the manufacturer sells 3 motorcycles in the international markets – Moto Morini X-Cape adventure bike, Moto Morini Seiemmezzo SCR scrambler, and a neo retro motorcycle named Moto Morini Seiemmezzo STR.
All the 3 are powered by the CF Moto’s popular parallel-twin liquid-cooled DOHC 8-valve 650 cc mill but in different states of tune. The X-Cape produces 60 HP and 56 Nm with a claimed top speed of 175 km/hr.
The aventure bike features Bosch’s switchable ABS while tires sizes are 110/80-19 front and 150/70-17 rear. Fuel tank capacity is 18 litres while ground clearance is a decent 175 mm.
Stopping power comes from 298 mm double discs with 2-piston floating caliper upfront and 225 mm single disc with 2-piston caliper at the rear. The bike tips the scale at 215 kg while seat height is 820 mm.
The Seiemmezzo SCR and STR, on the other hand, produce the same 60 HP power but the torque is slightly down to 54 Nm. While the claimed top speed is the same 175 km/hr, the tires are different. The front tire is a 120/70-18 unit, and the rear is a 160/60-17 unit.
Bosch switchable ABS comes standard and the fuel tank capacity is 15 litres. The brakes are same as that of the X-Cape. As CF Moto’s 650s are already BS-6 complaint, it will be an easy entry for Moto Morini in India.
