New Hero Rally Motorbike Debuts

Hero’s new rally bike is distinguishable with its liquid cooled engine, completely different chassis

Hero introduced a new rally bike at the Indian National Rally Sprint Championship (INRSC) in Bengaluru, along with its XPulse 200 4V Rally.

The brand new bike is in addition to the race-spec XPulse 200 4V Rally, that’s taking part within the event into the group A class, which is for motorcycles with engine displacement of 400cc and above.

This hints that the engine may be the 421cc unit that was expected to power the XPulse 400 and Xtreme 400S. According to our sources, this new 421cc platform will debut in late 2024.

New Hero Rally Bike At INRSC

Hero’s new rally bike has participated in Group A group, which is for 400cc and above capacity bikes. This largely confirms Hero’s plans for the long run. It’s not surprising, as there’s significant growth within the middleweight phase. It’s not a distinct segment market house, rather, it’s going more and more mainstream with time. The younger era rising in affluence, coupled with a wide community of newly minted roads, has resulted in important demand for large bikes.

Hero’s new 400cc or above capacity rally bike will underpin the company’s upcoming ADV. The latter will rival the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM 390 ADV, and many others. Hero’s new 400cc-450cc platform will spawn other products as properly similar to a dual-sport bike and Xtreme sports bike. Hero’s 400cc bikes might be a strong challenger to Royal Enfield, as Hero has capabilities to match RE’s primary USPs similar to performance and affordability.

Hero new 420cc bike performance, specification

Hero’s new 420cc middleweight bike’s performance numbers might be near that of its rivals. For instance, upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is anticipated to deliver around 35 bhp and 40 Nm.

Expect Hero to price the XPulse 400 at around Rs 2.70 lakh, ex-showroom, and launch it in the second half of this year.

Hero might be looking to launch its 400cc range as quickly as possible. Test mules have been noticed earlier at multiple places.
