Ola Electric rolled out its proprietary MoveOS 3 software for all its scooters nationwide. With the coming of the new update, Ola scooters get up to 50 new features along with improvements in performance.

OLA: Ola Electric has constantly supported the ecology surrounding their S1 scooter.  It offers three electric scooters – S1 Air, S1, and S1 Pro. The company makes significant modifications and unlocks better performance, range, and new features through software updates. Move OS 3 is the most recent of these software revisions. There are occasional delays, yes, but what matters is delivery.

For instance, Move OS 2.0 experienced numerous delays, and Move OS 3 was planned to debut around Diwali, as previously hinted. Bhavish Aggarwal, the CEO of Ola, made a number of new feature promises, and the firm has largely followed through. Let’s take a closer look.

Ola Move OS 3

Move OS 3 is the newest software update from Ola Electric. It was supposed to be launched around Diwali. However, just like Move OS 2.0, it saw multiple delays. Still, the company has delivered goods with the final product. Now, the Move OS 3 software has been released for over 1 lakh users. It unlocks as many as 50 new features and delivers on the promises made by Ola CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal. This includes include proximity unlock, key sharing, moods, regen V2, calling, and hyper charging. The hill hold feature is not available in the Ola Move OS 3 beta phase.

The company claims that the new update also offers better performance and range. It can now go from 0-60 km/h run in 4.5 seconds only (down from 5 seconds). The performance has received a boost of 20% in Sports mode and 10% in Hyper mode. The Hypercharging compatibility allows Ola scooters to get 50 km of range in just 15 minutes. With better torque mapping and charging algorithms, users now have a 2% to 5% better range as well. The proximity unlock feature allows locking/ unlocking when the key is near the vehicle. Additionally, multiple features allow different settings per user.

The Ola Move OS 3 offers three moods/ themes – Vintage, Bolt, and Eclipse. Each mood offers a different lock/ unlock sound, charging sound, and motor sound. The new update also allows users to store and display important documents on digital display like DL, insurance copy, etc. A vacation mode stalls deep discharge till 200 days of inactivity. On the other hand, the Party mode synchronizes lights with songs to create a unique aura (similar to Tesla Model X). Additionally, you can use hazard lights, WiFi, and even get call notifications.

Ola Electric Range

Now a day, Ola Electric is the leading electric scooter maker in the Indian market. It also plans to launch electric motorcycles and electric cars soon.
