Revolt Motors Launches Affordable RV1 Electric Motorcycle in India

Revolt Motors has unveiled its third electric motorcycle, the RV1, in the Indian market. The entry-level variant is priced at ₹84,990, while the more advanced RV1+ is available for ₹99,990 (ex-showroom). As the most economical electric motorcycle from Revolt, the RV1 complements the existing RV400 and RV400 BRZ models.

The RV1 is offered in two variants and four color options, showcasing a practical street bike aesthetic characterized by a circular LED headlamp, a smoked windscreen, and a 6-inch digital LCD display. A notable feature is the integrated storage for the charger, enhancing convenience for users.

This motorcycle provides two battery options. The standard model is equipped with a 2.2 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 100 km per charge, while the RV1+ features a 3.24 kWh battery, extending the range to 160 km. Both variants are driven by a 2.8 kW electric motor, utilizing a chain drive system, in contrast to the belt drive found in the RV400.

The RV1+ also includes fast charging capabilities, achieving a full charge in just 1.5 hours. Additionally, it is equipped with a reverse mode, facilitating easier maneuverability in confined spaces. The RV1 has a maximum load capacity of 250 kg, which is claimed to be the highest in its category.The motorcycle’s suspension system consists of a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, complemented by disc brakes at both ends to ensure dependable stopping power. Designed with urban commuting in mind, the RV1 effectively combines user-friendliness with contemporary features.
