Bengaluru-based electric scooter River Indie price revealed, comes in three colour options
Bengaluru-based electric scooter startup River has unveiled and launched its first scooter, the ‘Indie’ at ₹1,24,999 (ex-showroom). It comes in three colour options – Monsoon Blue, Summer Red and Spring Yellow.
The scooter has a 4 kWh battery pack and comes with a claimed riding range of 120 km on a single charge. Using a standard charger, the Indie can charge from 0 to 80 percent in 5 hours. The scooter has three riding modes – Eco, Ride and Rush.
The Indian bike maker is offering a warranty of 5 years/50,000 km for both the battery and scooter.
The mid-mounted motor on the Indie is rated for 6.7kW (peak) and 26Nm of torque and sends power to the rear wheel via a belt final drive, propelling it from 0-40kph in 3.9s.
It rides on 14-inch wheels and gets 120-section tyres both at the front and back and even a combi-brake system. Combined braking system, 240 mm front disc brake and 200 mm rear disc. It has got 43 litres of under seat storage, 12 litre capacity glove box
For convenience, it gets forward and revers park assist, 6-inch colour display, 2 USB ports and centre stand.
The scooter will compete with the likes of Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X and TVS iQube S.
