The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is expected to launch in March 2023. It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 2,60,000 – Rs 2,70,000. The rugged bike will compete with the likes of KTM 250 Adventure 2022 and KTM 250 Adventure. It is said to combine rugged styling with performance features. Now, the Royal Enfield 450 Himalayan has been spotted on the road during the testing phase. Let’s take a closer look!

As you can see in the YouTube video above, the Royal Enfield 450 Himalayan testing has begun on the Indian roads. Now, it has been spotted around Chennai. While the new prototype is decently camouflaged, you can see features like split seats, dual-purpose tires, USD forks, a windscreen, and a round instrument cluster. The Himalayan 450 is said to be built on a new platform with a 450cc liquid-cooled engine that offers around 40bhp and mid-range torque. Overall, the Royal Enfield 450 Himalayan is essentially upgrading over the classic Himalayan design. It will feature a circular headlamp and spoke wheels. The adventure bike will also get a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels setup.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan was originally launched in early 2016. It comes with a starting price of Rs 2,14,874. The adventure bike is powered by a 411cc BS6 engine that offers 24.3 bhp and a torque of 32 Nm. It weighs 199 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 15 liters. The 2021 model comes with an anti-locking braking system, front/ rear disc brakes, halogen headlight, switchable ABS, a hazard light switch, semi-digital instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, Royal Enfield’s Tripper Navigation system, 21-inch front wheel, and a 17-inch rear wheel shod with dual-sport rubber.
