Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 To Be Unveiled
Royal Enfield unveiled the new Himalayan 450 in both domestic and international markets on November 7, 2023. The Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer unveiled the latest version of the adventure tourer at EICMA 2023 in Milan, Italy.
Royal Enfield also announced the start of pre-bookings for the new Himalayan 450 for international markets. According to B. Govindarajan, the CEO of Royal Enfield, the new Himalayan will be available in European markets starting from March 2024.
At EICMA 2023, Royal Enfield also launched the Himalayan 450 electric bike, for which the pricing details have not been disclosed yet. Bookings for the electric Himalayan will be available from November 24, 2023.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Specifications
The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 features a 452cc single-cylinder, SOHC setup with a liquid-cooled engine. This engine, known as the Sherpa 450, generates 40 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is coupled with a new 6-speed gearbox that incorporates a slip and assist clutch.
Royal Enfield offers the new Himalayan in three different variants – Base, Pass, and Summit. The Base trim is available in a single Canyon Brown color, the Mid-spec Pass variant comes in Slate Grey Himalayan Salt and Slate Poppy Blue colors, and the Top-spec Summit trim is available in two colors – Henley Black and Cameo White.

It also comes with a slip and assist feature, which provides significant support during riding in heavy traffic and long trips.
The Royal Enfield 450 is based on a twin-spar tubular frame with a swingarm on both sides. It features a 43mm upside-down front fork suspension and a mono-shock suspension in the rear. This setup ensures good handling and comfort, making it suitable for various riding conditions and terrains.

It has a suspension travel of 200mm. Speaking of tires and braking, it features a 320mm front and a 270mm rear brake. The new Himalayan 450 runs on a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheel, equipped with dual-purpose tubeless tires.
With features like a full-LED headlight and turn indicators, the new Himalayan 450 is Royal Enfield’s most feature-rich motorcycle. However, its biggest attraction is the full digital TFT instrument console, which is equipped with features like integrated navigation from Google Maps, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, and music playback.
