Royal Enfield Classic series and Bullet models are some of the most popular motorcycles in their line up. last year, Royal Enfield launched an all-new motorcycle Meteor 350 which was introduced as a replacement to the Thunderbird.

Meteor 350 motorcycle as the name suggests is a 350-cc motorcycle and RE has already published the official power and torque figured for this motorcycles. Here we have a video where dyno test is conducted on Meteor 350 to find out its actual power and torque.

The video has been published by Motorbeam on their YouTube channel. The tester places the motorcycle on dyno and straps the bike and locks the front wheel so that the motorcycle stays in one place.

After completing the procedure, he revs the motorcycle to the red line couple of time before starting the test.

Once that was done, the tester engages the motorcycle in gear and starts accelerating the Meteor 350 motorcycle on rolling road. The motorcycle did go over 100 kmph mark in the test and after the final run, the power and torque figures generated by the Meteor 350 at the wheel were revealed. The motorcycle generates 18.2 Hp and 24.6 Nm of peak torque at the wheels.

The power and torque figures that came out after the dyno test are less than what Royal Enfield has mentioned in their brochure. Royal Enfield has mentioned the power and torque that is generated in the engine. Dyno test however checks how much power and torque does a motorcycle generate at the wheels. The energy or power and torque generated at the engine is lost to some extend while it is travelling from the engine to the wheels and that is why there is a difference in these figures.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is powered by a 349-cc, single cylinder, fuel injected engine that generates 20.2 Bhp and 27 Nm of peak torque. The dyno test reveals that by the time all this power reaches the rear wheels, the motorcycle looses almost 2 Hp and 3 Nm of torque.

Royal Enfield Meteor is a brand new motorcycle. It is based on RE’s new J series platform. Meteor is the first motorcycle to use this frame. The motorcycle is far more superior when it is compared to older 350-cc motorcycle from Royal Enfield. The engine has also been reworked and it feels a lot more refined and vibration free.

The combination of this new frame and the engine has improved the riding and handling character of the Meteor 350 and it feels a lot more vibration free at higher RPMs. Royal Enfiled Meteor is available in Fireball, Stellar and Supernova trims. Royal Enfield will be using the same engine and frame in many upcoming motorcycle. The 2021 Classic 350 which will be launched in the market later this month is one of them. Royal Enfield is also working on 650-cc cruiser, Himalayan based scrambler and many new models for the market.
