Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Fully Revealed in New Spy Media

Royal Enfield has been continuing its product offensive strategy for this year in our market as the Super Meteor 650 has now been spotted in a near-launch guise.

The upcoming Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 has been spied testing in this latest video with an all-new design. Fresh from the launch of Scram 411 and Hunter 350 within a gap of a few months, Royal Enfield now wants to update its 650-cc segment range. It already has the Continental GT650 and Interceptor 650 in the segment. The new model will add yet another layer to its large engine capacity bike portfolio. Let us check out what the new Meteor has in store for us.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650

The video clip has been shared on YouTube. The visuals show the tourer bike in all its glory. However, unlike what has been mentioned in the video description, this motorcycle will be called the Super Meteor 650 and not just Meteor 650. Clearly, it will even look different from the 350cc sibling. At the rear, the round taillamps and turn indicators highlight the retro theme, the dual-exhaust pipes represent the big engine that this bike carries, the mudguards, footpegs are massive and rugged, the side body panels are minimal, the teardrop-shaped fuel tank is prominent, the rear seat indicates great comfort for the pillion, especially on long journeys, and the overall stance of the motorbike is quite broad and oozes stability.

There are alloy wheels and broad tyres enhancing stability at high speeds and around the corners. The handlebar is wide and the seating position seems adequate. It gives an impression that the riders will have an amazing time on this bike for the long road trips. There will most likely be USD forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear and dual-channel ABS as standard with disc brakes on both wheels.

Specs

Just like its other 650-cc counterparts, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will come with the 648-cc air/oil-cooled parallel twin engine that is good for 47 hp and 52 Nm of peak power and torque. However, depending on the weight of the bike and driving requirements, it might be calibrated slightly differently. We can expect a 6-speed manual gearbox with this engine. We might see this Meteor in flesh around the festive season this year with a starting price of around Rs 3.30 lakh, ex-showroom.
