Suzuki Hayabusa recalled again over braking issues

Suzuki Hayabusa
The recalled Hayabusas have an improperly tightened ABS hydraulic unit flare nut.
The UK government has issued a recall for the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa due to concerns regarding the front brake master cylinder. The issue stems from a problem within the body of the front brake master cylinder, specifically with the fluid passage.
The passage may remain closed even when the brake lever is released, resulting in brake lever play and extended braking distances. This can potentially increase the braking distance in certain conditions.
To address this issue, owners of the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa should contact their local Suzuki Motorcycles dealer. The dealer will replace the front brake master cylinder free of charge, and owners will not have to pay for any work related to the recall.

In the UK, a total of 484 vehicles are potentially affected by this issue, and the recall was issued on 14 March 2023. It is important to note that a recall has not yet been issued in the UK for a separate problem related to the ABS hydraulic unit flare nut on the 2024 Hayabusa, which was recalled in the US on 18 January 2024. However, since the issue was detected at Suzuki’s Hamamatsu plant in Japan, it could potentially be a concern in other regions as well.
