The Japanese manufacturer’s move appears to be the results of recent incidents of EVs catching fire in the country

When Japanese manufacturer Suzuki introduced it was leaving MotoGP in 2022 after the Spanish Grand Prix, it mentioned that a part of the reason was to focus its resources on its future, and the alternative power options it would have to undertake in replacement of traditional, fossil-fuel-burning, internal combustion engines (ICE).

Suzuki announced that its first electric powered two-wheeler shall be launched during the 2024 financial year in the small-to-mid-capacity class, which may be summed up because the commuter class.
