The Indian Pursuit has been built for people who prefer touring on 2 wheels
Indian Motorcycle has revealed the Pursuit, a new touring machine with the latest electronics, powered by a large liquid-cooled V-twin engine.
Built on the same platform as the latest Challenger, the Indian Pursuit is available in 2 grades – Limited (Black Metallic shade) and Dark Horse (Black Smoke and Silver Quartz Smoke colours). Both trims can be optioned with a Premium package.
The motorcycle has a cast aluminium frame, chassis-mounted fairing, vented lower fairings with auxiliary lights, adjustable flyscreen, heated grips, heated seat, a 7-inch touchscreen dash with Apple CarPlay, turn-by-turn navigation, a top case and side panniers.
At the heart of the Pursuit is 1768cc, liquid-cooled V-twin petrol engine producing a maximum of 91 BHP and 178 Nm of peak torque. The engine is teamed to a 6-speed transmission with an assist clutch.
Riders have the option of choosing between 3 modes – Rain, Standard and Sport – while the rear suspension is electronically adjustable for pre-load. The brakes are from Brembo, while ABS, cornering traction control are also on offer along with ‘Smart Lean’ technology.
Of all the above-mentioned goodies, the auxiliary lights, heated seat, electronically adjustable rear suspension and Smart Lean technology come as part of the Premium package.
The Indian Pursuit can be further personalised and the American brand offers 2 kits for the same. Some of the optional extras that can be fitted to the bike include adaptive LED headlight, PowerBand Audio kit, mitered mid-rise handlebars, among others.
Prices start at $29,999 (Rs. Rs. 22.7 lakhs) for the Limited variant and $30,999 (Rs. 23.46 lakhs) for the Dark Horse grade. The Premium package costs an additional $3000 (Rs. 2.2 lakhs).
