March 2022 scooter sales remain almost unchanged with the addition of Suzuki Avenis, Honda Activa tops the chart
March 2022 scooter sales chart shows a worrying sign for the industry as all the models witnessed doubt-digit de-growth with only the TVS Jupiter and Suzuki Burgman Street inching closer to their last year’s sales number.
As usual, Honda Activa topped the sales chart recording over 1.6 lakh sales but it seems the scooter has lost over 40k unit sales when compared to March 2021. TVS Jupiter took a distant second place selling over 55k. But unlike Activa, Jupiter almost maintained last year’s sales.
Though Suzuki Access has taken the third place, like the Activa, it has lost significant numbers when compared to last year and the reason being its newest sibling Avenis grabbing a pie out of its sales.
The sporty scooter TVS Ntorq took the next place bagging over 23k sales. But it has faced 11% Y-o-Y de-growth.
Honda Dio and Hero Pleasure took the fifth and sixth spot with Pleasure losing the maximum sales in the list when compared to last year. Its Y-o-Y de-growth was a humongous 46%.
Suzuki Avenis and Burgman Street claimed the seventh and eighth spots with Burgman almost retaining its last year performance. The last 2 places were taken by Yamaha Ray and Scooty Pep+ with both recording over 6k sales.
