TVS Ronin Leaked In Full Ahead Of Launch – Gets USD Forks & Oil Cooling

The upcoming TVS Ronin has been revealed in full ahead of launch, sports a scrambler design

TVS Ronin, which is set to be launched on Wednesday (6th July), has been revealed in full ahead of its global unveil. From the first look, we can say TVS has developed a proper scrambler out of the Ronin.

It might take the fight head-on against the likes of the Royal Enfield Scram, Yezdi Scrambler, Honda CB350RS, and, to a certain extent, even the Yamaha FZ-X as far as design goes.

The upcoming bike’s round LED headlight with a T-shaped DRL has been already leaked. Now, the front gets golden-coloured USD forks with a single disc brake for the front spoke alloy wheel. The instrument cluster is installed high up floating in the air.

The tear drop-shaped tank looks inspired from a cruiser rather than a scrambler and it would have been good if TVS had used a slightly sleeker unit.

But expect the tank to be high on functionality. It should hold at least 15 litres of fuel for long hauls. The tank ends in the scrambler-style ribbed seat and a metal grab rail.

A broad belly pan sits underneath and it hides the chassis elements. So, it’s not confirmed whether the bike gets a double cradle chassis or a diamond unit with engine as a stressed member. We feel the bike could sport the latter.

The subframe has been exposed and it sits between the seat and the small rear mud guard. The rear sports a regular box-section swing arm with a disc brake setup. The indicators look like proper LED units. Even the tail light is an LED.

The wheels are likely to be 110 section at the front and 120 at the rear. As far as powertrain goes, it’s likely to retain most of the powertrain elements of the Zeppelin concept.

The cruiser is expected to be powered by a large 223 cc oil-cooled engine that puts out 20 HP and 20 Nm mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
